Caustic Washing Procedure of Garment Washing [ 2nd Part]

I wrote an article on Caustic Wash at the previous post. Today, I will complete the rest of the article.

In the previous post I gave a recipe for the caustic wash and how to start. Now the rest of the portion is—
Start steam supply to raise liquor temp. to 70 degree centigrade and continue washing for 90 minutes. During this processing time, impurities and size materials present in the garment is removed together with some portion of pigment. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down and produces per hydroxyl ions which takes part in bleaching and reduces the color intensity of the pigment.

As a result fading affect is produced in the garments. Presence of the stabilizer confirms the production of per hydroxyl ions. When desired fading affect is produced in the garments, drop the liquor.
Then again load 500 liters of water in the machine and start machine running. Start steam supply to raise liquor temp to 60 degree centigrade and continue processing for 10 minutes to remove adhering impurities from the garment fabric surface. Then drop the liquor.
To make the garments caustic washed in neutral condition, load the machine with 500 liters water and 1 liter acetic acid at 1 %. Continue treatment for 5 minutes and drop the liquor. To increase surface feelings in the garments, again load 500 liters water and fabric softener at 0.1 % to 0.5%.
Continue treatment for 5 minutes and then drop the liquor. Unload the garments from the washing machine. Hydro extracts the garments and dries the garments in the garments drying machine.
The processing of Caustic Wash is over. The method is mentioned above is well known and widely used in all over the world.

Clothing Which are Used for the Naval & Armed Forces & Space Shuttle Personnel

In this post I will discuss about the clothing on which the clothing materials are used on the different sections and purposes of Naval, Armed and Space Shuttle Tavellers. The whole things I have collected from different resources. So read the thing at below:

Light weight fire retardant fabric is necessary for the clothing of the Naval and Armed forces personnel. Especially for the person engaged n engineering works and working in the heated condition.
Moreover their clothing should be capable to protect them from cold and should have buoyant properly.
Some clothing of such property is manufactured on commercial basis. Candadian forces are using such type of clothing. These types of clothing are made of Nomex fiber.
Head hoods and hand gloves made of Kevlar fiber are used by the Newzeland naval forces. Beside those clothing, different type of flame retardant clothing are manufactured and used by the naval and armed forces.
For the outer space shuttle traveler NASA (National Aeronautic Space Authority) has prescribed clothing of special property to protect the space travelers for the harmful environment in the outer space.
As such clothing, cotton fabric has been considered as the best because of comfortability, electrical resistiivity and skin sensitivity. Chemically treated cotton fabrics are used for the manufacture of such clothing. Two ply fabrics are used for the clothing. The chemically treated cotton fabric plies are 244 grams per square yard mercerized knitted single jersey fabrics.
These fabrics are flame retardant finished with THPOH/NH3 and DAP/Urea in two steps. As a result, these type clothing shows better flame retardancy and burning retardancy properly, this is approved by NASA.
Naval|Air Forces|Space Traveler Clothing
Blanket made for the outer space traveler is made of two ply fabric made from glass fibre and in between two ply fabric.
Fibrous silica is used. Beside those, as heat resitant clothing needle felt nomex fibre, ceramic and graphite fibre woven fabric. Silicon rubber coated fabrics also used on this.
At the time of lunching space shuttle, to dissipate surface temperature of the space shuttle, water filled bad made of rip stop nylon fabric is used on its surface.
This type of water bag is manufactured by the Makrum Company. For the outer space shuttle traveler, a special type of clothing has been made. The clothing is made of tubular woven fabric. Woven in X-2 drapper shuttle loom with continuous polyester filament, then coated and moulded to the required design and shape of the clothing.


Steps for computerized marker making in apparel industry:

1. Take the Software for pattern making and marker making.
2. Install this software on your computer now.
3. Here some garment measurement is needed.
4. Free hand sketching of each part of garment on monitor by mouse.
5. Check shape and measurements on each part.
6. Save this work.
7. Automatic grading is carried out.
8. Again Save it.
9. Then start marker making by one another software in the same computer.


Manually & CAD Marker Making System – A Comperison

Comparison Between CAD Marker Making & Manual Marker Making:

1. In manual system the system is used to make maker for garment making is traditional. But in CAD system marker making is done in modern system.
2. Marker efficiencies is not visible in manual system. Other hand, marker efficiency is visible in CAD system.
3. Marker length is not visible in manual system. Marker length is visible in monitor screen at CAD system.
4. In manual, once marker is made, not possible to increase its efficiency. But in CAD it is possible to increase the efficiency at any time.
5. Marker copying is not possible manually. In CAD, by using Plotter as much as possible copy can be done.
6. Manual marker making is very time consuming method whereas, CAD is a faster method.
7. In manual system quality can not be assured. It has quality assurance.
8. Manual system costing is low but CAD is expensive.
